Retail Sales in GB - July 2018

The quantity bought in July increased after a fall in June.

THe quantity bought in July 2018 increased by 0.7%, following a fall of 0.5% in June. Non-food stores reported a fall in footfall in July, attributed to the football World Cup and the good weather, but there was continued strong growth in online sales. The value spent continues to rise faster than the volume spent, with petrol stations and food stores seeing the biggest differences in volume and value.
