GDP Monthly Estimate - August 2018

UK GDP grew by 0.7% in the three months to August 2018

UK GDP grew by 0.7% in the three months toAugust, with positive growth for production, construction and services industries. Growth in the services sector was broadly flat in August, although there was expansion in the ICT sector. Production growth increased, including the manufacturing sector, which has seen some weakness in H1 of 2018 - especially pharmaceuticals and food & drink. Construction output was strong, reflecting the weakness in growth seen in March and April of this year.
